For over 6 years, M L Day and Associates, Inc has been a pioneer in the real property appraisal

The unfortunate Real Estate downturn that we are experiencing is due in large part to low quality
appraisal reports assembled with unpractical methods, incorrectly informed homeowners and
lowered expectations within the lending market. As ethical appraisal companies such as M L Day
and Associates, Inc move forward to rebuild the industry, lenders are seeking our services to
help avoid a repeat of their current downtrodden portfolios because of the diligence and

In every profession, there is a minimum standard or requirement of performance. However,

the industry in which they work. For over 70 years the Appraisal Institute has been the leading
organization for professional Real Estate Appraisers and source of respected appraisal
literature. In 2007, I received an SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute, one of the most
prestigious residential designations earned by members that have shown recognition of
principles and practices above general state requirements. This was a hard-earned
achievement, and although not a requirement of a certified appraiser (yet!), it was one of the
most important milestones of my career and for my company to date – an achievement that
brings credibility and reliability to our appraisal reports.

Marlon L. Day is a native of Buffalo, NY and received a B.S from the State University of New York
at Buffalo and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Mercer University. Marlon crafted his
financial analysis skills while working in financial management capacity with Ryder Integrated
Logistics and UPS Supply Chain Solutions. In 2007 Marlon not only earned the SRA designation
with the Appraisal Institute, but he also forged the way for M L Day and Associates, Inc to
become a member of the Greater Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
